The first person who ever used this expression with me was my former boss who I worked for at Company X from 1998 until 2006ish when he left the company to pursue other interests. Or got canned. Depends on how you look at it. EO and I didn’t start out close. It was your typically manager/subordinate relationship and I didn’t become part of his inner circle until his other favorites had babies, got promoted or they themselves left the company to pursue other interests. Anyway, this was an expression that he said often. Now everyone says it. It’s a Zen-like for me. Like a prayer really.
