 My first reaction when I heard that Governor Spitzer, “Client 9” was involved in a prostitution ring wasn’t outrage.  My first though was, is he a democrat?  

Right now somewhere out west Larry Craig and his wife are breathing a shared sigh of relief.  Republicans everywhere are saying to themselves and to one another “whew, thank god it wasn’t one of us this time”.

So really, what’s worse: tap dancing in a Minnesota airport bathroom in an attempt to illicit the promise of gay sex or paying $4300 to an American, petite brunette for actual sex?  And I gotta ask, what exactly does $4300 get you?  My mind runs wild with the possibilities.

It’s schadenfreude for sure but I actually do think that Mrs. Governor Sptizer has it way worse than I did.  Honestly, I like want to email that women and invite her to DC for a girls weekend.  Take her to see a show, go for mani-pedis.

And what is it that seems to drive ambitious, successful, married men into the moral gutter when it comes to sex?  Because I don’t get it.   Spitzer is a guy who was said to be the Elliott Ness of New York.

Really, how does this guy not resign on the spot?  Really?  Really.  This guy is going to continue to run the state?  While most of his constituents in the working and middle class couldn’t scrape $5000 together for a family vacation, this guy spends almost as much for 2 hours with a hooker?   $5000 is the equivalent of 3 months of income for some people.

I balked at what I spent on a single pair of shoes yesterday but here’s what:  I’m going to wear those shoes for more than two hours!  And they weren’t anywhere close to $5000!
