Pumpkin Fur
I got back from California on Wednesday and was thrilled to have a neighbor pick me up in his squad car. It was cool, very to have someone pick me up (I mean, obviously Abdul dropped me off 2 weeks before but no one ever picks me up). Once home Neighborcop and his wife (oooohh, he has a nickname; must think of one for her…) also put air in my tires and later, food in my belly. Later, I passed out in a pile of cat air with Pumpkin adhered to my chest like a third boob.
My time out west was equal parts good and exhausting. The day before I left, I had 6 inches of my hair cut off Katie-Holmes style to rave reviews back home. I needed a change because I’ve basically been wearing my hair the same way for 15 years, long, worn smooth and straight in the winter and tornado like in the summer when the top is off my car.
Which it was this morning even though technically it’s not quite warm enough. I had the heat jacked up and the seats warming. Spoiled I tell ya.
I also went to Vegas for a conference (not a fan) and to Palm Desert (surprisingly pretty). “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” seems to be the favorite excuse for what is most certainly unexcuseable behavior.
This weekend is the Cherry Blossom festival (they are at peak this weekend), the Kite festival and the Epilepsy Walk (which I’m walking in for the 2nd year). Sunday I fly to Boston to attend, of all things, a Boston Celtics game.
KU Plays tonight. Very excited.
Got another Facebook poke, this time from another guy I had a crush on my senior year in HS when he was a junior but we didn’t date until I was a freshman at KU. He his happily married with kids (I remember seeing him in an alumn photo a few years ago), It’s fun to see pictures of people who at one time I saw every day and think how little they’ve changed. I also think I got un-friended by someone on Facebook. I’m hoping that’s not the case and that it’s a user error on my part but now I can’t find them on my friend list.
I heart my friends. Even my un-friends.

I love your blog, and enjoyed it today over the creatively fantastic combination of a pizza hot pocket, chocolate pudding, cheetos and cran-grape juice. (What was I thinking?) I miss you and am glad you are home, I miss you (Did I say that yet?) and I miss the Cherry Blossoms!
