Thanksgiving 2008
If I think about it, Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday and I had a perfect Thanksgivng this year waking up early to run a 5K race to benefit So Others May Eat www.some.org finishing 10 minutes off my best time.
It was one of those perfect days in DC where every monument seems lit from within. Where my own life seems to take direction and where my gratitude is so whole in its totality that eveything seems possible. After the race, Quantico Mr. Quantico expressed our thanks to the Temble of the Green Apron for the traditional post-race latte.
One of the supermodels had us all over for Thanksgiving- I got to make and eat my Tofurkey. She and her husband had thier second child this year, another son whose fingers seem impossibly delicate. I rocked him and smelled his sweet head thinking that I would trade places with my friend any day of the week.
